Location

Le Sirenuse is a wonderful place from which to enjoy the simple pleasures of Positano and the spectacular Amalfi Coast.
John Steinbeck, who visited in 1953, wrote 'Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.'

Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, when four Neapolitan brothers, the Marchesi Aldo, Paolo, Anna and Franco Sersale turned their summer house in Positano into a charming hotel, overlooking the bay of Positano. Today the 58-room resort is considered one of Italy’s leading seaside luxury hotels, though it still retains the intimate, cultured atmosphere of a private home.
Franco, an art connoisseur whose impeccable taste did so much to define Le Sirenuse's signature style, passed away in January 2015. But this remains a cherished family concern. Since 1992, Franco’s son Antonio has looked after the day-to-day running of the hotel, while Carla, Antonio’s wife, designs Le Sirenuse, Positano Mare Collection, a line of beachwear and womenswear inspired by Positano and sold at the Emporio Sirenuse boutique and in selected stores worldwide. Paolo’s daughter Marina created Le Sirenuse’s fragrance and skincare line Eau d’Italie with her husband Sebastián Alvarez Murena, while her sister Giulia curates Le Sirenuse’s much-loved outdoor planting schemes and indoor greenery.

Almost all rooms, suites and junior suites look out over the bay of Positano. Most have a private terrace or balcony and all have white-washed walls, vaulted ceilings and hand-made tiles on the floors.

The 58 rooms, all very different from one another, are decorated with antique and contemporary furniture coming from Europe and the East, following the eclectic style which is so characteristic of their charm. The bathrooms are made of marble and hand made tiles and all but three have a whirlpool bath tub, which, where ever possible, is double size. A hair dryer is at your disposal in every bathroom.

Features
All rooms have a telephone, a flat screen plasma TV with all satellite channels and a DVD player, a safe, air conditioning, minibar and an I-Pod docking station. If you forgot to bring your own I-Pod, we'll gladly lend you one of ours, already loaded with music. Should you wish to watch a movie, we have a selection of over 700 DVDs. Wi Fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge. Two computers with internet access are at your disposal in the Spa lounge.

Beds
The majority of beds measure 180 x 200 cm in size: this is 5 inches less than a King size and 11 inches larger than a Queen size. In all the rooms (except for three) you will be able to choose whether to sleep in a double bed or in two single beds.
Linens

All beds have a 48 cm (9 inch) thick orthopedic mattress, a feather topper and linen sheets made by "Frette" and embroidered with our siren logo. Should you prefer to have cotton sheets, these can be changed. There is a selection of pillows for your comfort. Nightly turndown service is provided, a special Italian chocolate will be placed on your pillow and a pair of soft cotton slippers will be placed on your bedside mat.

Amenities
In the bathrooms you will find 100% cotton towels and robes by Frette and our luxurious "Eau d'Italie" bath and body products. The "Eau d'Italie" line of products and well known fragrances were created and are still produced by the Sersale family for Le Sirenuse. While the perfumes are sold in selected boutiques worldwide, this hotel is the only one in the world using the "Eau d'Italie" products as amenities.
